FindRx was recently featured in the Founder to Founder Newsletter, where we had the privilege of sharing our story and vision. Jay Choi, Doctor of Pharmacy candidate at Northeastern University and CEO of FindRx, spoke about the mission that drives FindRx, which is to connect patients with medications that are increasingly difficult to find due to supply chain challenges. As drug shortages reached their peak earlier this year, with over 323 essential medications in short supply during the first three months of 2024, the need for innovative solutions has never been greater. Jay shared valuable advice for fellow entrepreneurs in the newsletter: "Dream big and carry yourself as if you've already achieved your goal. Then, do whatever it takes to make that dream a reality. People may laugh at first, but there will always be someone willing to help—don't be afraid to ask."
An ambitious mission needs a leader with vision, and Jay is no stranger to hard work. Jay has interned at prestigious retail chains such as CVS Specialty, Mount Auburn Hospital, Walgreens, and various independent pharmacies. His passion for helping patients access highly in-demand drugs is central to FindRx's purpose. Whether it's ADHD, diabetes, COVID-19, cancer, or other critical treatments, FindRx serves patients struggling to locate their prescriptions at local pharmacies.
As discussed in the Founder to Founder Newsletter, FindRx leverages innovative strategies to address this problem. We leverage our combined 7500 hours of working experience in pharmacies to locate medications efficiently for patients. Furthermore, we're excited to develop more optimized solutions to address our patient's needs through digital health innovation. We have partnered with bright developers from Northeastern University to help us spearhead our software needs. We have begun partnering with several independent pharmacies to start our dreams of creating an inventory network for all patients in need. To keep our pace of innovation going, we have participated in Northeastern University's (NU) venture accelerator program, IDEA, and were selected to enter NU's Evolve Accelerator program.
Our goal is to ensure that every patient is provided with the treatment they need, even during shortages. Together, we are focused on supporting as many patients as possible and growing FindRx into an even more robust solution. At FindRx, we are dedicated to making that vision a reality every day, ensuring patients can access their essential medications even during the most challenging shortages.
